SUMMARY:NEPAL RELIEF & RECOVERY AWARENESS BOOTH — HARVEST FAIR
DESCRIPTION:October 10\, 2026 @ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM \nLet’s come together to learn about Nepal\, raise awareness\, and support relief and recovery efforts. \nActivity Time\nSaturday\, October 10\, 2026\n10:00 AM – 2:00 PM \nLocation of the Event\nDublin Heritage Park & Museums\, Dublin\, CA \nBooth location (TBD) will be provided once confirmed by the event organizer. \nDetails of the Event\nRISE & SHINE youth volunteers will host an educational and fundraising booth at the Harvest Fair to help community members learn more about the recent disaster in Nepal and the ongoing need for relief and recovery support. \nAt the booth\, students will: \n\nEngage children and families through a simple educational activity.\nShare information about Nepal and the impact of the disaster.\nEducate visitors about ongoing relief and recovery needs.\nShare information about Nepal Red Cross Society and its humanitarian work.\nProvide convenient ways to donate to the relief effort.\nEncourage community members to support Nepal’s recovery.\n\nDonations\nRISE & SHINE will provide several ways for visitors to donate\, including cash\, Zelle\, and PayPal. \nDonations collected through the event will be tracked by RISE & SHINE and 100% of the donation amount collected will be remitted to the Nepal Red Cross Society. RISE & SHINE will not retain any portion of the donations. \nThe final payment options and donation instructions will be provided at the booth. \nStudent Volunteer Shifts\nEach student volunteer will receive 3.5 volunteer hours for one of the following shifts: \n\nShift 10:00 AM – 12:10 PM\n10–10:20 AM — Brief volunteer orientation\n10:20 AM–12:10 PM — Booth activities\nShift 2: 11:50 AM – 2:00 PM\n11:50 AM–12:10 PM — Brief orientation/handoff\n12:10–2:00 PM — Booth activities\n\nEach shift will have 5-6 student volunteers. Students will help with kid engagement\, education/awareness\, and donation outreach. \nPlease arrive on time for your assigned shift and bring your volunteer form. Parent leads will sign the form after the shift. \nRegistration Requirements\nParticipants must be RISE members.
