Food Banks

According to the USDA, more than 38 million people, including 12 million children, in the United States suffer from food insecurity. The pandemic has led to increased food shortages among families with children, especially during holiday season. Let’s act and help them now!

Volunteers from Rise and Shine are actively joining the local food bank food packaging and distribution program. On November 22, 2021, members of Rise and Shine served at a local food bank: Feeding the Valley. Together with other volunteers, they packaged a total of 15730 boxes and bags of food. The food will be delivered to individuals/families that would otherwise not have a Thanksgiving meal!   

Each year, the local food bank distributes millions of meals to the community. Volunteers from Rise and Shine are trying our best to help this meaningful program and will continue to contribute to community services! Together, let’s build a better future for families and communities across the United States!
