Shoebox Project
As Christmas and other winter holidays apporuch, Rise and Shine Youth Leadership wanted to find a way to send warmth and Christmas joy to kids who are in poverty and underprivilaged and deicded to organize a Shoebox Project. With the help of others, RISE members were able to collect the materials needed for the boxes from all the donations. More than 30 volunteers in total showed up and 150 shoeboxes were completed. Each shoebox contains fun toys and nessecities along with a homemade card and ornament. These boxes have been dropped off and are ready to be shipped to kids in need.
