NEPAL RELIEF & RECOVERY AWARENESS BOOTH — HARVEST FAIR

Details of the Event
RISE & SHINE youth volunteers will host an educational and fundraising booth at the Harvest Fair to help community members learn more about the recent disaster in Nepal and the ongoing need for relief and recovery support.
At the booth, students will:
- Engage children and families through a simple educational activity.
- Share information about Nepal and the impact of the disaster.
- Educate visitors about ongoing relief and recovery needs.
- Share information about Nepal Red Cross Society and its humanitarian work.
- Provide convenient ways to donate to the relief effort.
- Encourage community members to support Nepal’s recovery.
Donations
RISE & SHINE will provide several ways for visitors to donate, including cash, Zelle, and PayPal.
Donations collected through the event will be tracked by RISE & SHINE and 100% of the donation amount collected will be remitted to the Nepal Red Cross Society. RISE & SHINE will not retain any portion of the donations.
The final payment options and donation instructions will be provided at the booth.
Student Volunteer Shifts
Each student volunteer will receive 3.5 volunteer hours for one of the following shifts:
- Shift 10:00 AM – 12:10 PM
- 10–10:20 AM — Brief volunteer orientation
- 10:20 AM–12:10 PM — Booth activities
- Shift 2: 11:50 AM – 2:00 PM
- 11:50 AM–12:10 PM — Brief orientation/handoff
- 12:10–2:00 PM — Booth activities
Each shift will have 5-6 student volunteers. Students will help with kid engagement, education/awareness, and donation outreach.
Please arrive on time for your assigned shift and bring your volunteer form. Parent leads will sign the form after the shift.

Participants must be RISE members. For those who have not yet registered, you can register as a RISE member using the same RISE membership registration form:

Dress Requirements
Please wear a RISE volunteer T-shirt. If you need a RISE T-shirt, please provide your size in advance. We will do our best to have it available for you at the event.
