2025 - 2026 Student Officers
Brianna Huang
Hi everyone! My name is Brianna Huang and I am super excited to be the President for 2025-2026. I have been part of RISE for around 5 years and have held an officer position for 4 of those years. I have participated and led many projects, including the Shoebox project, Kids Against Hunger, the RISE Music Group, the Bottle Drive, and many more. Additionally, I have been a reading group teacher for elementary schoolers since RISE was founded. As a junior at Dublin High, I enjoy baking, reading, and playing cello in my free time. I hope to work hard to improve RISE and help the community even more than last year! I love working hard with all RISE members for our community.
Angela Zhao
Hello, my name is Angela Zhao and I’m glad to be RISE’s 2025-2026 Co President. I’m currently a junior at Amador Valley. I have been in RISE for over 4 years, participating in and leading many projects including Kids Against Hunger, Holiday Senior Greeting Cards, Shoebox project, Adopt a Senior, and more. As well as projects, I co-teach a reading group for elementary students and work on updating the RISE website. In my free time, I enjoy art, listening to music, and hanging out with my cat. I look forward to organizing more fun projects/events to continue giving back to our community!
Patrick Zhang
My name is Patrick Zhang, and I am a senior at The Quarry Lane School. I currently serve as the Co-President of Rise and Shine, having previously held the role of Executive Vice President. During my time with RISE, I have initiated and led several volunteer projects, including the Meaningful Teens English Tutoring Program, Community Clean-Up events, and a Clothing and Household Items Donation Drive. I also helped launch and teach student-led Math and Physics classes. In addition, I serve as the organization’s webmaster and actively teach English reading to elementary students through the RISE Reading Club. I have also participated in volunteer initiatives such as Adopt a Senior, the Bottle Drive for Charity, Kids Against Hunger, and volunteered at the Alameda County Fair. Outside of volunteering, I enjoy playing basketball, biking, building robotics, and coding. As Co-President, I am committed to developing and promoting meaningful volunteer opportunities that make a positive impact in our local community.
Annie Zhang
I’m Annie Zhang, and I’m a junior at The Quarry Lane School. I currently serve as the Executive Vice President of Rise and Shine, having previously held the position of Vice President of Membership. I have initiated several projects, including Community Clean-Up, Clothing and Household Item Donations, and the Meaningful Teens English Tutoring Program. I’ve also been actively involved in math classes, Christmas Greeting Cards for Seniors, Adopt a Senior, Bottle Drive for Charity, Kids Against Hunger, and volunteering at the Alameda County Fair. Outside of volunteering, I play volleyball and basketball for my school teams. I look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact on the Rise and Shine community.
Elvin Zhong
Hello everyone! My name is Elvin, and I am a junior at Summit Shasta High School. During the 2025-2026 Rise and Shine season, I will return to serve as VP of Project Management, managing ongoing projects and coordinating volunteers. I also teach 5th-grade reading and 2nd-grade math. Over the past years, some key projects I have worked on are the Food Bank Project (20+ groups) and raising over $2000 through the 2024 Holiday Book Drive. Some of my hobbies are travel planning, public transit, and playing ping pong. I look forward to working with all the officers to serve our community.
Eric Cheng
My name is Eric Cheng. I’m a freshman at Dougherty Valley High School. Two years ago, I joined RISE and started participating in various events, such as Kids Against Hunger, Bottle Drive for Charity, Adopt a Senior, Drawing Christmas Cards for Seniors, Shoebox Packing for Christmas, website maintenance, etc. I’m fond of martial arts and art. I’m excited about serving the community as a VP of Operations.
Amber Mo
My name is Amber Mo, a junior at Amador Valley High School, and I’ll be the project manager for this year. This is my second year with RISE, and I’ve participated in many events like Kids Against Hunger, Bottle Drive for Charity, Adopt a Senior, Art Sale for Charity, and many more! I love reading, listening to music, 3D modeling, baking, and playing with my cat in my free time. I look forward to working with you all this year to expand RISE and give back to the community!
Caden Huang
Hello! My name is Caden Huang, and I am a sophomore at Dublin High School. My hobbies include swimming, reading, and music. I have been in RISE for 4 years, participating in many events, such as Kids Against Hunger, reading group, music group, bottle drive, and ShoeBox. As the Event Coordinator, I aim to give everyone a flawless experience and make it easy for people to participate in events and enjoy giving back to the community.
Aurora He
Hi everyone, my name is Aurora, and I’ll be serving as your VP of Marketing this year. I’ve been with RISE for about 3 years now and have been involved in many events throughout that time, and I’m currently leading the Senior Digital Program. As VP of Marketing, I help design flyers, graphics, and other promotional materials for our projects to spread the influence of our program and events. RISE has given me so many chances to grow and give back to the community, and I’m super grateful to be part of such an amazing team. In my free time, I enjoy making art, taking photos, and swimming. I’m looking forward to another great year with everyone!
Dana Li
Hello! My name is Dana, and I am currently a junior at Archbishop Riordan High School. I have been a part of Rise for over three years and have participated in events in the past with the reading club for third and fourth grade. Some of my hobbies include volleyball, badminton, tennis, etc. I am grateful to be working with this program and look forward to working with everyone.
Kailey Lin
Hi everyone! My name is Kailey Lin, and I am a senior at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. I currently serve as Vice President of Project Coordination at Rise and Shine Youth Leadership. I’ve been a part of and have led many projects, including the book drive, where we received 500+ books to donate to the pediatric patients at the UCSF Children’s Hospital, organizing events with the SF Marin Food Bank, and the Bottle Drive. Additionally, I’ve also been a teacher for the Sunshine Reading Club (7th grade) for three years and the Sunshine Math Club (4th grade) for the past year. I have also helped coordinate the Adopt-a-Senior event and volunteered at the Alameda County Fair. Some of my hobbies include reading, tennis, and journaling. I’m looking forward to working with everyone next year to make RISE even better!
Tingna Xiao
Hi, my name is Tingna Xiao, and I’m currently a freshman at Monte Vista High School. Since joining RISE, I have been an active participant in services like community clean-ups, the Shoebox Drive, and the Warm A Heart Celebration. I love chemistry, reading, gaming, listening to music, playing competitive frisbee, and more. I look forward to leading projects and working with everyone to give back to the community with RISE!
Theodore Ng
Hello, my name is Theodore Ng, and I’m a sophomore at Emerald High School. I have been participating in Rise events for about 3 years. Some of these events include Kids Against Hunger food packing, bottle drives, community park cleanups, and shoebox packing for Christmas, and many more. I am looking forward to working with this team to give back to the community.
Leo Peng
My name is Leo Peng. I am currently a freshman at Amador Valley High School. I joined RISE about six months ago and have since been actively involved in a variety of community service including Kids Against Hunger and Bottle Drive. I also enjoy the direct service of teaching, and I am currently leading my second session of RISE third-grade math classes. In my personal time, I enjoy playing video games, swimming, and working on math. I have been involved in consistent, year-round swim training. This dedication has significantly strengthened my discipline, endurance, and focus, which I can bring to my volunteer work. The ability to commit to long-term goals and stay focused under pressure in math and swimming directly assists me in leading my teaching sessions. The teamwork and strategic thinking I develop in video games are the same skills I can bring to coordinating successful group volunteer efforts. I look forward to contributing my time and energy to give back to the community with RISE.
Claire Feng
Hello, my name is Claire Feng. I am currently a freshman at Amador Valley High School. I have been a part of Rise and Shine for about a year and a half, and I participated in many of their events, like the Soap for Change events, the bottle drives, and the annual Warm a Heart senior center performances. In my free time, I play violin and piano, draw, and sculpt. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with this program and am looking forward to many more opportunities to serve our community.
Lucas Hu
Hi everyone, my name is Lucas Hu, and I’m currently a sophomore at The Quarry Lane School. Since joining RISE last year in January 2024, I’ve participated in various events, such as Kids Against Hunger, Bottle Drives, Warm-A-Heart, and the Clothing Drive held last summer. I enjoy tennis, skiing, math, physics, and playing/arranging music for the Jazz Combo and Chamber Orchestra I’m a part of. I’m excited to be a part of the RISE team this year, and I’m looking forward to working with everyone.
Justin Shi
My name is Jiting Shi, and I’ll be the website manager for this year. I am a high school junior with strong interests in photography, digital art, and graphic design. I regularly participate in my school’s after-school peer tutoring program, where I help students revise work and understand different subjects. I joined Rise and Shine during the second half of 2023 and have been actively involved in a wide range of volunteer initiatives, including selling handmade artwork to raise funds for victims of the Los Angeles fires, assisting staff at the Alameda County Fair, packaging food for Kids Against Hunger, participating in bottle drives, donating clothing, assisting with senior center events, and assembling holiday shoeboxes. Through Rise and Shine, I am motivated to continually strive to serve and give back to my community.
